The latest Sony Alpha A7 IV features a 33MP back-illuminated full-frame CMOS sensor plus AI-driven autofocus. The sensor's Exmor R™ technology boosts readout speeds, sensitivity, color accuracy and noise reduction. This, combined with the BIONZ XR™ processor for fast processing, ensures high-quality images and superior operation. Compared to the α7 III model, the 33MP sensor and Exmor processor offer enhanced resolution and color reproduction. Creative Look presets and eight parameters provide an expanded capacity for setting the desired visual mood, allowing photographers to share their shot directly after capture.
The Sony Alpha A7 IV is equipped with a 5-axis optical image stabilization providing up to 5.5-step shutter-speed compensation for image clarity. The 33.0MP image sensor and stabilizing unit with gyro sensors, plus image-stabilization algorithms, maximize this high-resolution performance. Coordination of Sony's flash units with face detection results in natural-looking skin tones5. For reliable, accurate exposure, P-TTL metering and white balance sync is achievable to the ‘Hi’ level in continuous-burst speeds.
The Fast Hybrid AF system, blending both phase-detection and contrast-detection AF, has been innovated to produce improved velocity, precision, and tracking capabilities. Sony's 4D FOCUS enables a broad and dense AF region to cover around 94% of the image area for both movies and stills with 7596 phase-detection AF points. Sony's advanced Real-time Tracking, based on AI, uses color, brightness, and depth info to promptly process spatial info in real-time. AI is used to accurately track and recognize the eyes and face of the subject (human, animal, or bird). Just select the subject to start tracking for outstanding results.
Capture 4K 60p11 movies with real-looking motion. Utilizing Sony Alpha A7 IV's completely revised image sensor and broad dynamic range, users can now record cinematic-grade films up to 4K 60p11 in full pixel read-out and no binning for clear, realistic captures of fast-moving subjects.
