The Sony Alpha 9 III introduces the world’s first full-frame image sensor mirrorless interchangeable lens camera with a global shutter system, combined with 24.6MP image quality, next-generation autofocus performance, unparalleled image capture, spectacular 4K movies, and advanced connectivity and workflow to create a higher level of imaging performance.

The Alpha 9 III is a full-frame 24.6MP digital camera with an Exmor RS™ global shutter system and a maximum shutter speed of 1/80,000 sec. This system offers exceptional resolution and speed, allowing you to capture fast-moving subjects without distortion. Thanks to its advanced sensor architecture and integrated memory, the Alpha 9 III offers improved processing and better image quality. It also offers an impressive 120fps shooting speed and accurate AF/AE tracking, plus a flash sync speed that eliminates any gradual reduction in illumination. With a blackout-free viewfinder and reduced lag between shots, this camera is perfect for capturing even the quickest motion.

The Alpha 9 III boasts 8-step image stabilization, supported by its advanced gyro sensors and optimized algorithms. Compatible lenses with in-body image stabilization further bolster blur-free shooting at telephoto ranges. Pre-capture records for up to 1 second before shutter release, giving photographers the chance to capture the perfect moment, even if the shutter is slow to respond.

Continuous Shooting Speed Boost increases speed while capturing high-performance events like sports. The AI processing unit recognizes Humans, Animals, Birds, Insects, Helmets, Cars/Trains and Airplanes. Animal recognition is enhanced, allowing it to detect eyes of grazing and small animals, alongside the eyes, heads, and bodies of dogs, cats, and similar animals. Bird recognition is better too, enabling it to identify eyes of various birds, as well as their bodies. Additionally, a new Animal/Bird setting allows photographing animals and birds without changing the mode.

For the first time in the Sony Alpha lineup, the Alpha 9 III offers 4K (3840 x 2160) 120p movie recording without cropping, allowing users to utilize the full angle of view provided by any lens. For example, 4K footage shot in slow motion 120p and footage shot at normal speed 24p within the same scene will have the same angle of view and can be easily edited together without the need for reframing.
