It also features fast, precise autofocus with deep learning subject detection and professional design and functionality. Connectivity and a modular design make this a brilliant all-in-one package.
Flagship Sensor, 45.7MP Stacked BSI CMOS Sensor
Utilizing the same sensor found in the Z9 model, the FX-format 45.7MP BSI stacked CMOS sensor offers an advantageous blend of resolution, rapid readout speeds, remarkable definition, and low levels of noise in the Z8. The stacked structure reduces rolling shutter effects, while the BSI designation guarantees reduced noise levels when operating within the high end of the extended ISO range, from 32 to 102400. Additionally, the 45.7MP resolution and full-frame sensor size are ideal for photographers working in detail-oriented genres and enable 8K video recording capabilities.
Traditional handling, modern response
The Z8 boasts a modular design, making it versatile for both day-to-day shooting and professional use. An optional MB-N12 Power Battery Pack grip can be added for improved ergonomics and longer battery life. Whether being used on a gimbal or for video recording, the smaller and lighter design of the Z8 makes it a top choice. With both a CFexpress Type B slot and a UHS-II SD slot, the Z8 allows for flexible file saving and is suitable for data-intensive tasks like 8K recording and high-speed burst shooting.
In addition, the CFx slot is also compatible with XQD memory cards. Illuminated buttons make it easy to navigate in low-light conditions, and the Z8 is the first camera to feature two USB-C ports, allowing for simultaneous use of one port for data transfer and another for charging or powering the camera.
